Tel Aviv: The son of Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon was indicted Sunday on charges of corruption including illegal campaign financing, Israel radio reported.
The indictment by the Tel Aviv prosecutors came after Omri Sharon waived immunity granted him as a member of the Knesset (parliament).
In addition to illegal campaign financing, he has been charged with falsification of documents and perjury.
The indictments stem from his allegedly running front firms through which his father's 1999 internal election campaign in the governing Likud party was financed. ...
